They drove that car?

Jacques Villeneuve drove the Vanwall Vandervell 680 Hypercar in the first three rounds of the 2023 World Endurance Championship. The car came 8th at Sebring but retired from the following two races. Villeneuve has been replaced by Tristan Vautier for next weekend's Le Mans 24 Hours.
Didn't know he'd been dropped. I'd be suing.

Maybe not a case who drove that car but who sponsored that car!

Given how AT&T basically become a global brand in XXI century it's curious to see they ventured into motor racing sponsorship as early as 1986 - merely three years after the company was founded. And they did so in IMSA GT Lights with Spice Engineering entry for Don Bell & Jeff Kline - as obscure combo as you can find in hindsight. Albeit they were the Lights front runners in the days of Porsche 962 dominance over in the GTP class.

This is from Mid-Ohio 1987 if I'm not mistaken (Dyson entry had some yellow features in 1986 IIRC).

More old school IMSA. Actor Lorenzo Lamas (then known from Falcon Crest already) did some races in the late 80s. Best finish of 14th in the horse track's parking lot at Del Mar 1987.

This from Daytona 24h in 1988.

Wouldn't this be more suited to the "Celebrities who raced" thread?

Hector Rebaque had already driven for Brabham in the second half of 1980 and the entire 1981 season. He returned to the team as their sole representative to drive the Brabham BT52 in the 1983 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch in what was his last ever F1 appearance as well as the last ever non-Championship F1 race. Tyre and suspension problems forced him out after 14 laps.

Image
It was also the final F1 appearance of Brian Henton and the only time he drove for Theodore. He came 4th but we are talking about a race that only had 13 entries and 7 finishers.

Bear with me, it's been quite a while since I've used a forum.
