Bottom post of the previous page:

lol

It does come across that way doesn't it?

It's not meant in that way, I'm happy for him. But sadly that happiness has been severly tainted by the endless shit that keeps appearing all over the internet.

I'll just add here that I've done handbrake turns etc with my hand in a brace, so it doesn't prove anything except that normality is returning.

Maybe Robert just dressed the part ..... with the Stig, dressed to look like Kubica (false nose under the helmet?) doing the driving?

Good for him that he has improved enough to at least have a bit of fun, albeit an awfully long way from the much fantasized about F1 comeback.

However I still say that Stevie Wonder has more chance of becoming a Nordschleife Taxi driver this year, than Robert has of a full return to a top F1 team... or even a good midfield outfit like Ferrari for that matter. :sarcasm:

at this point i can't see the truth. he needs both hand to make the job right?
looks like there's a bit of inlfated speculation by each sides, the ones who wants kubica capable or incapable to recover. i think the truth is in the middles, but i'll always support a full return to f1 for robert kubica

Robert Kubica took part in a kart race over the weekend.....

I am still not suggesting that his rehab and convalescing has gone so well that he is back racing karts. Far from it, but he manged to get into one which is something of an achievement and dislays a bit of flexibility.
Indeed, he was driving a go kart at an indoor race track in Pistoia, Italy, but it was not a racing kart ...... Kubica raced against a some friends at the wheel of one of the ‘MyKart’ kart centre’s electric karts. But it is a step in the right direction and I am sure he had fun after a miserable 12 months or so of recurring disappointment and setbacks.

I am sure that come Spain and Monaco in May, Robert will be in pitlane (if he can score a Bernie pass :haha: ) to maintain that momentum and show everyone how mobile he is, and for sure he will be back. And he may well believe it. I still dont, but none the less wish him the best in his endeavours. Never say never.

We might smile, but even I give him points for trying. (Although I suspect this is all part of a PR campaign to keep his name in circulation, if not actually under consideration for anything)

Well, um, I have driven one of those things one handed, so I'd take that with a grain of salt.

That being said, I would like to see him back racing. I bet he could take care of the competition single-handedly.

Performance

MyKart Kart is one of the first in Europe to use lithium polymer batteries

The comparison with the normal lead-acid batteries is a winner as they ensure faster acceleration and constant power during the duration of the running session.

The electric motor provides high-speed shooting and in absolute silence while rotoloamento tire and belt give voice to sports performance.

The stable

In addition to the kart for adults are available carts for children 8 and 2 kits to give the opportunity to help the disabled, with controls for acceleration and braking can be managed with the right and left hands.

The karts offer many advantages such as lighter weight that allows acceleration and exciting power-assisted constant charge until the end of life.

Yeah I'm not sure how that's relevant either as Kubica isn't disabled.

He's got a competitive desire that he needs to fulfill so getting into a kart does that somewhat. Plus, as it's already been mentioned, you can drive these karts one handed anyway so even if his damaged hand and arm is still not fully functioning it should affect him in a kart at all.

Hard to think R. K. may be behind the wheel of a powerful single-seater again, but Alessandro Nanini made it back to racing touring cars after loosing one arm, didn't he? Whatever the outcome, it's good to hear he's trying.

Nannini had a particular aid to his re-attached arm, just like he used a hook to hold the wheel (he had basically zero sensibility in his right hand)
