Quoted for fact. I think that movie was made by the music.... it set the varying moods through different scenes perfectly, and yes it made the movie.

Not sure how many of you have seen Picnic at Hanging Rock (based on the book of the same name), but it's fantastic.

It's about some school girls going missing on a school trip in 1900 and never being found.

This music in the movie never ceases to give me goosebumps.

With what goes on at the end, it's haunting.

Basil Poledouris, Conan the Barbarian. Still the best in my mind.

You don't find this Theme on the Original Soundtrack Album.

Ahh, an old favourite of mine! I saw it first when I was very young, and it left a profound impression on me. Many, many years later I found a DVD of it, and was deeply disappointed when I found that it was a director's cut. Peter Weir was very young when he did that movie, and his director's cut basically sucked out all the magic in the movie. He didn't really know what he was doing back then when he filmed and directed, and that was good! If you look at his later movies, he did a lot of BS really, and he should've left his fingers off it. Teaches you the importance of editing.
