What i miss with Lance: consistency. And i think it has a lot to do with his mood. If he wants to race, he extracts some 90% out of the cars performance. But sometimes i get the impression that he does not want to be there. That he wants to do something else. Phishing, tennis, or just hang around with friends.
In the press room he looks so uninspiring. Then i see for instance George, Oscar, Zhou and Lance, and the latter one sits there without any interest. His whole body language screams: "I want to go home, i don't want to be here!!! But my dad has spend so much money in my career, and i don't want to disappoint him."
Brian Redman: "Mr. Fangio, how do you come so fast?" "More throttle, less brakes...."

If the car is good for advancement, and Alonso pulls away from junior, then his father will have to make a difficult choice, once he is convinced that WCC points could be accumulated if a second driver do his job. (Sort of similar to Perez situation.) On the other hand, we don't know their private life. There could be "mother influence" - let him race, if he wants to, and points don't matter. Husbands/father does as he is told. (Something like that.) Time will tell.
Following teams will be most likely ahead of Haas: (in random order)
1- Mercedes
2- Ferrari
3- Red Bull
4- McLaren
5- Aston Martin (2 heavyweights on board might do the trick)
6- Haas (direct rivals RB Jr., Alpine, Aston Martin)
So, we have a fight on our hands? Now we have two voices with team focus on P5. As predicted (it wasn't difficult) a few days ago, Alpine is ready for moving up. Unfortunately Newey is working with someone else. That could be a problem (proverbial wrench in the gearbox). That's a reason why I think P6 is more realistic goal for Pierre's team. It's not going to be easy either. Komatsu is a steady force on the rise.
Pierre Gasly has set the target he believes is achievable for Alpine in the 2025 Formula 1 season, and that is fifth in the constructors’ championship.
My calendar is now loaded. Like last year, a few races will be taken off just for sake of keeping my sanity intact. Three (3) races are strong candidates for being dropped right out of the gate, and another three (3) I will decide later. Twenty four (24) races is far too many for me. Eighteen (18) is just a fine number. Last year I didn't watch a few, but read reviews on them all. Actually after summer all races might be worth watching. Forecast is for tight score board.
Tsk, tsk. You are not supposed to keep track of announcements about new tracks, much less to remind the powers that be about their promises (threats?)!

Russell handed ‘arse kicked’ warning amid brutal criticism
Two-time Le Mans winner and former F1 driver Gijs van Lennep has said George Russell is going to get his "arse kicked" in a withering character assassination of the British driver.
George Russell needs to be taken down a peg or two, according to two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Gijs van Lennep.
One personna for a camera, another behind closed doors. Fans of Russell would be well advised not to read the article. End of last year Russell made a few enemies, and it looks like they didn't neither forget or forgive.

Remind me where van Lennep hails from? Or Ziggo Sport, who first aired the interview? Just typical local fanboi journalism and broadcasting . The same as we see from the press of any nations with a driver. Of course the. press will push the opinions that their readership want to read. Heck to read our press not only do they still reckon Danny Ric is a force to be feared, but Ocar Piastri has one hand on the WDC this year. Mexican pres think Perez was hard done by. All they remember is how Sergio held of Lewis to help enable Max to win his first title.
Im no fan of Russell but it seems odd that he is so disliked by the other driver, yet they are the ones that elected and then re-elected him to represent them as the GPDA Director.. I suspect he would receive more Christmas cards from other drivers than Max who seems to have ruffled the feathers of a few of the drivers over the years. Nationalitic press support has always been in F1

I do sort of agree with you. Late this evening I had a second thought and felt sorry for posting it regardless whether content is accurate or not. That incident with Max made me angry, and for a brief second it re-percolated, but now again it's a subject of the past for me. I wonder if Max feels the same way. Hearing from Helmut, Max is actually a shy guy, and "very nice" (quoting Helmut) in personal contact. He was really mad then, and incident affected their personal friendship.Where it is today between those two of course I don't know.
The incident between Russell and Max has its roots in that Max is brutally honest. Even when he makes a mistake him self. Remember the pole he ran at the Mexican GP? When Bottas went into the wall at the Peraltada? Max saw the yellows, but kept his foot on the pedal. And CONFIRMED IT IN THE POST Q-INTERVIEW. He got penalised and lost the pole. How different Lewis was in AUS GP 2009.
And what made him that angry was that Russell put all his energy to nail Max at the stewards. Alonso slowed down in a corner which the latter one normally took flat out. Max had to react on that by also slowing down. Russell could see that and react on it in a normal way, but chose to keep his foot down and run an evasive move as if he was caught out.
Brian Redman: "Mr. Fangio, how do you come so fast?" "More throttle, less brakes...."
Alain Prost: Max is good for the fifth WDC, leaving him and Sebastian behind with four.
Gerhard Berger: Ferrari will take WCC this year.
Toto: We are aiming to move up only in 2026.
Self, with all modesty: if RB will hand over to Max a semi-decent car, he will take it, and do the rest. I don't care (yet) what will happen with WCC.

And with Newey on board with a shareholding and say in how things should be done , not to mention his criticisms in the past of Lance's cababilities with a steering wheel, maybe Newey will talk some sense into Lawrence's head and tell him why spend millions on the teram and piss it against the wall by only having a single contributing driver..... and maybe Lance would be better diverted into the AM WEC Le Mans etc programme.

Apparently AM aren't running the WEC program and it's being run by Heart of Racing, so maybe they don't have the sway to pick drivers so easily, hence Drugovich still being a reserve F1 driver with no other duty.

Fair comment but please dont spoil my faint glimmer of hope we might have an avenue in which to offload Lance

Issue: Schumacher family has been blackmailed. Pay demanded sum of money, or I publish (stolen data) information about Michael's health condition.
Topic: Investigation is now closed, and defendants sentenced.
It is well known that family's wish is to remain private. Very few have access to Michael. Not even his former business manager. Those of very few who do, is Jean Todt, who remains a friend for life of former racer. (And some fans. with no access.)
The blackmail attempt against the family of Michael Schumacher has made waves. Over several months, the authorities have determined the exact course of the crime. Numerous witnesses were heard in the trial. With the announcement of the verdicts, the case has finally been closed.
On Wednesday (12.2.) the eagerly awaited sentences against the three defendants were finally pronounced in the Wuppertal District Court. According to the report, the main offender was sentenced to three years in prison for extortion. His son received a six-month suspended sentence for aiding and abetting. The third defendant was sentenced to two years on probation.
