I must admit I stepped away for a while when they went into fuel saving mode for three hours. :annoyed: I just hate the 80 second minimum stop time rule. Takes away a lot from the race options and strategies. As I said before its a 12 hour race and not an economy drive to save fuel. Bring back the splash and dash.

I will remember the move of Marciello on Gounon with 2 wheel on the grass on the outside through the kink in the Chase.
Just brilliant. Im sure a video will be doing the rounds hortly if you missed it.

Anyway the Final result.

Here i a short highlights reel.... just 3 minutes. The Marciello pass I mentioned iearlier has been included in the race highlights, albeit from a rear angle when the live broadcast showed it as he approached the Chase. Marciello on Gounon for 3rd with 2 wheels on the grass and round the outside at 280 kph through the kink into the Chase. Followed by a last of the late brakers outbrake to seal it

Without doubt Marciello has large "Gentlemen's Vegetables'.

The pass is1:45 in

Edit: I found a video of it as broadcast, with onboard and the original front on view.

WRT in 2025:
1st - Dubai 24h
1st - Abu Dhabi 6h
1st - Bathurst 12h

BMW was also at Daytona very competitive.

Stephen Grove cleared of major injuries

Good news after that horrific crash during the race, which saw Stephen transferred from the track medical centre to be placed under the care of a major Sydney hospital, suffering 'unspecified back injuries'...... initial tests revealed “damage to his back”, with further assessment to take place in consultation with Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

An update posted to social media by Grove Racing on Thursday says Grove has escaped “major injuries” and indicates he will race again.
“Grove Racing is pleased to confirm that Stephen Grove is recovering well after his crash at the Bathurst 12 Hour this past weekend,”

“Stephen has been cleared of any major injuries and is in good spirits. The team thanks fans, medical staff, and everyone for their support during this time.

“Stephen’s health and safety are our top priority, and we look forward to seeing him race again soon.”
