Greetings Guys, Mates, Blokes, Chaps, Fellows, Gentlemen,
Not really sure what is the best greeting to use. So, hello to ALL….
I am Getzo727 and I am trying to get back in the Game. That is, Grand Prix Legends.
I purchased ‘Grand Prix Legends’ Ver. 1.0, way back in August 1998.
I installed on my, at the time quite cutting edge, machine back then and downloaded the Documents available at the time and proceeded to get involved playing the game.
For reasons too numerous to mention I dropped out of the scene. Marriage and New Job the major reasons. Now I want to get back in the game.
I still have the Original CD, the two booklets that came with the package and the download I mentioned above.
However, I now have a brand-new machine. Alienware Aurora 16 with 32gigs of RAM GeForce 4090 video card and terabytes of disk space. Along with 4 monitors including a Samsung Odessey 49” OLED curved gaming monitor. Running Windows 11.
I cannot find the right way to install the sim on my new machine.
My problem has been that I haven’t until now found a Site that is current. Thanks for being there.
I have tried to install with GPL installer site but it keeps telling me that I have the wrong ‘Disk’ in the drive.
Sorry for all this wordage but wanted to lay out the whole story.
What I need, is for direction to get to a ‘Step by Step,’ method of installing the Sim on my machine, PLEASE help.

You are very, very close to being in the right place. If you head on over to https://srmz.the-fastlane.co.uk/ you can get all the help there you will need

Welcome.
For installing GPL I would follow GPLaps tutorial. Should you run into trouble head over to SRMZ which is the current home of GPL. It's the same server as the Fastlane, but focused on the sim, here we are more about real metal racing. By all means stick around, plenty of discussion going here too, but for GPL related things you really want to be on the other site.
