Matt Chahda Motorsport’s Supercars wildcard campaign has received last-minute naming rights backing from Boost Mobile.
The telco has stepped in to support the family-run squad, which will field an ex-Triple Eight Camaro for Chahda and fellow Super2 driver Brad Vaughan in the Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000.
Team boss Amin Chahda went public on Monday with the privateer team’s struggles to make the Sandown grid following the late withdrawal of another sponsor.
Boost’s outspoken founder Peter Adderton has swooped on the opportunity, with the team to run in the brand’s orange and black colours.
And here is the livery.....
Matt Chahda Motorsport, the Albury-based Super2 team, as mentioned above struck a last-minute sponsorship deal with Boost for its two-event Supercars Championship campaign.
MCM purchased a Triple Eight Chevrolet Camaro for Chahda and fellow Super2 driver Brad Vaughan to drive, but entered Sandown race week without a primary backer.
Boost is joined on the car by Shaw and Partners Financial Services, which has also moved to support the family-run squad. S&P were notably another Erebus Sponsor in the past.
Chahda is lining up for his second Supercars Championship start following an MCM wildcard at Bathurst in 2022,

Some other liveries for the Enduros, or certainly for Sandown.....which I guess you could describe some as retro attempts.
First up the Randle Tickford Castrol Mustang
The swirl-look made famous in the 1990s, initially by the factory Toyota Celicas running the World Rally Championship, then followed by the Castrol TOM’s Supra in Super GT.
The popularity of the Castrol look was then immortalised by the early Gran Turismo PlayStation games that were realised in the late 1990s.
The Jaxon Evans/Dean Fiore machine will sport a red look and #50 at Sandown and Bathurst in celebration of SCT’s 50th anniversary.
Founded by Pete Smith in 1974, the logistics giant now operates a fleet of over 55 locomotives and employs 1100 staff.
The names of all 1100 staff members feature on the bonnet of the Camaro, which was revealed at SCT’s Altona headquarters.

Erebus Motorsport drivers Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood will sport a new scheme at this year’s Sandown 500.
Melbourne-based electric karting venue PowerPlay has come onboard as the naming rights sponsor of the #1 Chevrolet Camaro for the 500-kilometre race.
The livery is the work of former Holden designer and renowned livery artist Peter Hughes.

I hope so. They have come pretty close witth a couple of 4ths for Golding at Hidden Valley in June, the first of which came from pole position.
He has Dave Russell sat along with him for the Enduros, so .
What I didnt r was that The Peter Xiberras-owned PremiAir remains the only Chevrolet squad not to have scored a podium since the Gen3 era began.

Grove Racing reveals 50th anniversary Moffat colours
The Matt Payne/Garth Tander and Richie Stanaway/Dale Wood entries will both compete in the blue hues used by Moffat’s Falcon XB.
Moffat streaked to victory at Sandown in a car that had only just arrived back in Australia following a rapid development program in the United States.
The triumph was in stark contrast to Moffat’s troubled showing with the machine, dubbed ‘Project B52’, at the Bathurst 1000 the following month.
While the original car was destroyed in a transporter fire in 1976, a replica recently completed by a Moffat fan in Tasmania is on hand at Sandown as part of the celebration.
It’s the second consecutive year in which Grove Racing has paid tribute to Moffat.
Last year the squad adopted the Federation Insurance colours run on Moffat’s XC Falcon in 1979.

Sandown is now well underway and we have now had 3 practice sessions.
P1 saw cars lapping close to record pace, and Ford had the edge with Waters leading Mostert. Reynolds was the quickest of the Camaros in 3rd.
Grove were less successful....Matt Payne/Garth Tander #19 Penrite Racing Ford Mustang suffered power steering issues on the out-lap. The team thought they had the issue resolved but returned to the pits for further inspections.
That car completed just 12 laps and wound up 21st overall. The sister #26 Ford Mustang shared by Richie Stanaway and Dale Wood was 18th.
P2 was for co-drivers, and Scott Pye has made a flying start to life as a Red Bull driver, putting Will Brown’s Camaro on top. Lee Holdsworth had Chaz Mostert’s Mustang at the top of the order for the bulk of the running, before a series of late improvers on newer tyres bumped him to 10th.
The top-five were separated by less than a tenth of a second.
Jamie Whincup ensured three Triple Eight cars ended up in the top six from BJR pair Jordan Boys and Jaylyn Robotham, wildcard Brad Vaughan and Holdsworth.
P3 was for all drivers and ended up with Camaros at the top, with JLB heading the session for Erebus ahead of Will Brown. The top three was completed by Andre Heimgartner
Richie Stanaway was the standout for the Ford contingent, putting his Penrite Racing Mustang fourth overall and just 0.1662s off the pace.
Brown’s Red Bull Ampol Racing teammate Broc Feeney wound up fifth while the top 10 was completed by Thomas Randle (Castrol Racing), Brodie Kostecki (PowerPlay Racing), Chaz Mostert (Mobil 1 Optus Racing), Cameron Waters (Monster Energy Racing), and Matt Payne (Penrite Racing).
The session was relatively incident-free.

Feeney tops crash-interrupted Sandown 500 qualifying
We had a hailstorm and plenty of wet as the teams readied themselves for the session. However it started to dry out 5 minutes in when hail was replaced by sunshine. Its Melbourne! We had a few offs, red flags, the lot.
Broc Feeney has put the #88 Camaro on provisional pole. Feeney clocked a 1:12.8980s in a damp qualifier with three minutes remaining to pip Chaz Mostert byjust 0.040s in the end.
Ford Mustangs occupied second through fifth with Matt Payne third, Mostert’s teammate Ryan Wood fourth, and Cam Waters fifth.
The top 10 was completed by Will Brown, Brodie K, Stanaway (Penrite Racing), Andre Heimgartner and ADP).
ADP put in a last-ditch effort to pip Nick Percat, who dropped out of the top 10 as the chequered flag fell.
