Bottom post of the previous page:

Well, the race is a ho-hum affair overall. You know it's bad when Larkham makes jokes during the middle of pitstops.

All pit stops done and Feeney leads Brown Brodie, Golding Percat JLB Hill Davo ADP and Stanaway. First 7 all Chevy.

Indeed, A bit of a yawnfest after the first lap

A bit of fun between Slade Waters Fullwood and Mostern. For a few seconds anyway.

Down to 10 laps to go thank God.

So it will be Feeney from Brown Brodie Golding Percat etc

Feeney making a bit of a comeback in championship terms. Not enough though. Brodie gets a return to the podium. Good weekend for Golding, a pole and a couple of 4th places.

Hmmm time for a return to Le Mans. A Feeney win does nothing for me, I cant make myself like him, but no real reason why. He is the new Whincup.

Got the results of that one spoilered, not that I'm unhappy about it now that I've read how dull it was. Looks like that was probably the worst race so far this year. Nice to see Kostecki 3rd though. Fairly underwhelming weekend overall. At least yesterday there was a couple of cars challenging Triple 8 and Mostert charging through the field.

Yeah, that was probably the most boring round of the season so far. I suppose the series was due to have one like that.

Townsville this weekend.

Forgotten about it totally. P1 is on now. Its dry atm but rain is said to be going to happen over the weekend. Format is two 250km races, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Qualifying is Tomorrow for tomorrows race and also a top 10 shootout. Two practice sessions today Friday.

Are we going to see a continuation of the Red Bull steamroller ? They lead the championship with Brown building a bit of a gap.

Grove started off up there but they have fallen away of late. Premat , particularly Golding, have been punchy and must be on the verge of a race win soon. Erebus now Brodie is back scraped onto the podium for one race but they are still a bit random.

Will Barry Ryan still be "on holiday"?

There was talk of an Erebus team sale but that has fallen through.

Other news Jessica Dane, the only Dane family member that still had a share of the team no longer does..... she flogged her 30% share to the owner of ex Erebus Sponsors (and Will Brown benefactors) Earl Evans and Steve Blackmore owner of CEO of wealth management business Shaw and Partners while Blackmore is the CEO of Southern Cross Truck Rentals (SCTR). They have purchased Danes 30% share between them. (They both backed Will's recent NASCAR adventure)

Sp no more Dane ownership in T888 now.... Tony Quinn of VIP Pet Foods and Darrel Lea fame bought 40 per cent of the teamearly in 2021. Quinn is still the principal shareholder. Later that year, Roland Dane sold his 11 per cent stake in the team to Jamie Whincup who already owned a chunk.
So all up Quinnie owes 40%, JW currently owns 30 per cent while the remaining 30 per cent is split between Evans and Blackmore as above.

Jessica Dane now lives in the US with SVG and has recently taken a job with GM as its 'Motorsports Integration Manager' in North Carolina

Talking of Erebus, they have just confirmed their Enduro pairings, with Jayden Ojeda signed to partner JLB in the #9 car. (They paired last year when JLB was with Matt Stone Racing) Todd Hazlewood will share the #1 with Brodie K.

Update of the Championship Top 10

1 Will Brown 1353
2 Broc Feeney 1245
3 Chaz Mostert 1074
4 Nick Percat 855
5 James Golding 845
6 Cameron Waters 838
7 Will Davison 813
8 Anton De Pasquale 796
9 Matthew Payne 795
10 Richie Stanaway 763

As I said P1 was on. Now finished. Most were running around on iused tyres though a few threw a net of new rubber on at the end.
Hill broke a steering rack after being a bit aggressive at the chicane.
Randle complained of steering issues as well. Apparently Hill is now going to use the latest updated rack available this weekend. One day Supercars will solve their ever present steering issues which plagued the Gen 2 cars with a hydraulic system and now the "this will fix it'' electric racks in Gen 3 are just as unreliable.

It seems to be that most of the fastest laps in P1 were set in the first five minutes of the session.

Not sure what to read into it as Tickford finished up 1-2..

As said dont read too much into what we have seen. Just a routine P1 with it seems no one really trying too hard.

Top 10 in that session

1 Waters
2 Randle +0.120
3 Brown +0.201
4 Courtney +0.252
5 Payne +0.255
6 Heimgartner +0.258
7 De Pasquale +0.345
8 Fullwood +0.354
9 Kostecki +0.378
10 Jones +0.417

Feeney down in 13th, Mostert 15th, Percat 20th and Golding 22nd.

Maybe we will see a bit of harder running during P2, starting in 2 hours time. If it doesnt rain.

Waters tops P2

P2 saw a few getting into the new tyres. Waters repeated his P1 form to take out P2 as well
We had a bit of. very light rain at the start of the session but nothing to affect the conditions.
Erebus started off showing pce with JLB fastest early and Brodie 3rd. It seems Brodie is another one with steering issues and was saying his car will have one of the new racks in for qualifying

Both T888 cars were a bit off the pace , but not as off the pace as both PremiAir cars, neither of them made the top 20.

Not too serious though as the field was covered by just one second.

Top 10 in practice 2

1 Waters
2 Le Brocq +0.059s
3 Winterbottom +0.294s
4 Randle +0.302s
5 Mostert +0.326s
6 Heimgartner +0.377s
7 Payne +0.433s
8 Kostecki +0.436s
9 Fullwood +0.458s
10 Feeney +0.527s

This looks like being close. First runs and JLB Waters ADP Payne Feeney and Brodie K the top 6 covered by less than a tenth. Randle Brown Mostert and Percat make up the 10. Those 4 covered by just over another tenth.
