New here, figured if I kept complaining about forums dying I should probably do something to prevent that. I don't know how active I'll be, but having an account sure does lower the barrier to being active lol.

Don't be put off by the pathetic current quality of discussion here (though most new joiners understandably are as none of them stick around for long). All the ancient threads are still here and well worth a browse (and maybe a bump here and there).

As the best example, the current season F1 threads are dominated in volume terms by about three posters who come over as if they're about five years old. In nearly 20 years here I had never previously had cause to look for the ignore function - but even that doesn't completely solve the issue because one of the people I wanted to "foe" seems to be an admin! So I give up. But hey, don't worry about losing the old timers, look at all these newbies signing up to replace us!

That was my reason for recommending digging up old threads instead, surely hand on heart you know this forum peaked in about 2005?

I'm the only admin here, are you referring to me? Anyway sorry you feel that way, but you can choose which discussions to participate in (or not read at all).

Of course I'm aware that the forum is not in its prime, but same can be said of all forums. I don't know what you're expecting...
