Jimmy Spencer, 2002 Sirius at the Glen
I'm looking for any photos or footage of Jimmy Spencer from qualifying at the 2002 Sirius at the Glen.
He did not qualify for that race, so you wont find any race photos.

Ill have a dig around to see what I can find, there must of been a picture of it at some stage since it got made for NR2003, car was basically the same as his normal 41 aside from the number change.
The difficult thing is that qualifying was rained out, so the only pictures of the car on track will be from practice. The practice session isn't on YouTube though.
From the information I could find, Spencer gave his usual #41 to Scott Pruett for the weekend because he "hated road racing". The car he used was a backup which he ran in practice to collect data. For the record, he was the slowest car during practice, so it was highly unlikely he would of made the race if qualifying went ahead.

He had a crash with Kurt? Busch the previous race, so there was some rumour he was asked to sit out of the race. He might not have even driven the car that weekend but he was at the track.

He was apparently 10 seconds slower than the car in front of him.
Also, I have never heard that qualifying was rained out? I always just thought he had been the slowest in qualifying and practice.

There's no results listed for qualifying on racing reference so I presume it was rained out, unless they haven't got any results which would be odd.

I know it is a long shot but in case nothing comes up, I'd suggest this is the place to go:

Yup, made Kurt be the first to test out the "SAFER Barrier" at Indianapolis the week prior, those two clashed several times over a period of 2-3 years, Spencer was suspended for 1 race in 2003 for punching Busch after a race at Michigan.

I actually emailed them about this almost a year ago, and I never got a response to my knowledge.hollie3sa wrote: β3 years ago I know it is a long shot but in case nothing comes up, I'd suggest this is the place to go:

Thank you. It hasn't just been me, I know people who have spent weekends going through Flickr and websites that have been down for 17 years, and for much longer than I have.
