Alex Caffi took part at the 2011 Rally Monte Carlo on a Škoda Fabia S2000, he would finish 11th overall.
My endearing memory of Caffi is the shunt he had at the Swimming Pool in Monaco during practice in the early nineties. Split the Footwork into at least three separate pieces.
Actually he had success at Monaco as well..... a 4th for Dallara in 1989, 5th for Arrows the following year, scoring all but one of his F1 points at Monaco..... then 25 years later won the Monaco Historic GP outright.(2016) in an alleged ex Regazzoni Tissot Ensign.
Actually Alex Caffi is quite versatile in his choice of racing.
Alex also drove a 3 seater F1 car at a Historic Minardi day.
The car, although at a Minardi day, is not actually a Minardi, rather a modified Jordan 2003 F1 season car, ex-Fisichella, with a Judd V10 engine and adapted backtrain and sidepods to hold the 2 passengers , one each side of the driver .
or in a NASCAR..... Adria, Rovigo, Italy - September 17, 2016: Alex Caffi Motorsports Team, driven by Caffi Alex, during race at the Nascar Whelen Euro Series Elite 1 in Adria International Raceway.
Or Racing Trucks in Brazil. Alex (lleft in the silver truck) ran in the 2013 season of the Brazilian Formula Truck Championship for Iveco Trucks.
Not to mention the DAKAR (I think in 2016, in the Dakar South American days.
Caffi was definitely not a slough.
Luckily for Caffi, it was only for a few acclimatisation laps before Andrea Moda were thrown out for not paying their entry fee.
The Andrea Moda/Coloni C4B would not have pre-qualified at South Africa in 1992.
(I'm actually A GUY, for all the bigoted, ableist bullies out there!)

Yvan Muller took part at the Rally of France - Alsace from 2010 to 2012:
In 2010 he drove a Citroën Xsara WRC, finishing 42nd overall (this is also the last time a Xsara took part to a WRC event).
In 2011 he drove a Peugeot 207 S2000, finishing 31st overall.
And in 2012 he drove a Mini John Cooper Works WRC, finishing 12th overall.
Yvan Muller (car #3) drove for the works Alfa Romeo team in the final meeting of the 2001 European Touring Car Championship at Estoril. He won Race 1 and came 6th in Race 2.
In the 2003 ETCC, Muller drove for the works SEAT team at Estoril and Monza. He never finished a race but he was classified 17th in Race 1 at Estoril.
A blast from the past took part in a one off celebration rally this last weekend.
STIG BLOMQVIST ENTERS 2024 CAMBRIAN RALLY
"RALLYING legend Stig Blomqvist will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of his 1984 World Rally Championship win by competing on October’s Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally.
The popular Swedish driver will be in a specially prepared 1964 Mini Cooper S sponsored by Mini Spares Centre, in association with BMW/ Mini, for his only competitive rally outing in the UK this year. His co-driver will be Paul Morris, whose knowledge of the North Wales Forests will doubtless enable Stig to demonstrate his prowess to the full.
Pic below is of Stig in the Mini on the 2024 Cambrian Rally. I followed it a little and he was certainly leading his class for much of the event.
Edit: I believe he did actually win his class.

In 1999, Jenson Button ran some tests in the Lola B99/50 International Formula 3000 car. He tested for Supernova and Fortec.
He would have competed in the 2000 International F3000 season if he had lost out to Bruno Junqueira for the 2nd seat at Williams. The Prost Junior team would have been his most likely destination, given Alain Prost gave him his first test in an F1 car.
