The stupid thing is, with ferrari looking so good there's no need at all to be this aggressive
His purpose was spoiling norris race and probably send him off the race. At this point of the season the matter is on how many points lando can score, especially wins

With all due respect I disgree with overanalysing Max. No devilish masterplan (#44) on his mind, no hiden strategy (saying one thing, and doing exactly opposite #44), none of it. He is doing his thing - driving fast. Skilfully. That's it. After watching him for a while, I came to conclusion that he just has one thing on his mind - foot off the brake, and sole strategy is moving over fast a piece tarmack in the front of him best he can, and his car allow him. I don't thing he thinks it is his duty to take care of his rival. His rival, so it seem, needs to take care of himself in his eyes, and if he takes a risky racing lane on the outside, it's his risk only.

I can't wait if Max will change anything, but I doubt it. At the end, he hasn't really done anything wrong in Mechico (IMHO). I know it will pain some people, but that's how I see it.

I think that if Max wanted to force Norris off the track and have an accident he would have done just that, and IMHO at turn 4 and 5 he had plenty of chances to do it and make it look like a racing incident, and the same is probably true of turn 6

Anyway an interesting video, Newey talking of Max

I haven't changed my views on the drivers, I'd still be happy if in Brazil Sainz scored another win, if he can't do that I wouldn't be disappointed if Piastri won

It would be hilarious if neither Max or Lando won a race for the race of the season.

Montoya got onto this as well. This is his recommendation to Norris.
Juan Pablo Montoya suggests that Lando Norris fight fire with fire when racing against his nemesis. Max Verstappen, the ex-Formula 1 driver questioned the Red Bull driver’s tactics in recent races and proffered simple advice to the McLaren driver: Take Max out!
I gather in some cultures a gun is a preffered daily tool and quick solution to everything. I remember his incident with Schumacher in darkness of Monaco tunnel, emerging on the other side and leaving crippled Ferrari (and also possibly Ferrari driver) behind. British side on TV bursted into celebratory applause and laughter.

Todt responded in highly intellectual manner - imbeciles - disgusted he turned away. Today I need him back to respond latest Montoya's recommendation.

I didn't know Max is a masochist. (I would like to ask his girlfriend about it.)

There are some assumptions built in, like stewards would classify such incident as unwanted accident. Based on last weekend, Norris might come out of it smelling like a rose, whereas Max might bear full brunt, left, right, and at the centre. It is a bad idea. Besides, RB has exhausted budgetary limits for upgrades and reparing the car. There was too many accidents this year.

FiA is making a lot of dough by heavilly penalising teams which are over budget.

‘It’s not something I should have done’ – Lawson apologises for Perez clash in Mexico but adds ‘I’m not here to make friends’
Lawson is really playing a strong man. I am not sure if anyone told him, that Helmut actually blames him for that collision with Perez more than his teammate.

It might not be a big deal right now, but it could be later on, if he continues to behave like an elephant in a kitchen. People do remember those things. Clashes cost also money.

Mexico GP steward slams horrible Verstappen mindset
When Verstappen goes into this horrible mindset of trying to gain an advantage by taking a fellow driver off the race track so Ferrari can get the one-two, that's where he needs to know he doesn't have to do that.
https://www.grandprix.com/news/mexico-g ... ndset.html

When Jason Button pushed Vettel off-track, I didn't hear similar litany. In contrast, people like Herbert suggested Vettel should have backed off. Nothing about mindset of the guy who run him off the track. I was/am Vettel's fan, and I do pay attention to things like that.

Beauty of this case, FiA now sent him also to Brasil for encore.

Well, about that, I am weak and fragile...

Norris might not needed any help, but if it is available, why he would refuse?

I think you are seeing it through very biased eyes. Vettel had a full car width between him and Button. He went wide by his own choice In fact Button at the time remarked that Vettel had passed him by driving off the track. Jenso was very much on the black stuff.
In those days I think the Stewards in those days were provided by local FIA affiliated National Motor Sport Federation.... at the German GP Stewards would have been provided by the German Motor Sport Authority. So it would have been Germans that saw justice was done for Vettel gaining an advantage from taking a deliberate wide line to gain the grippy run off area abrasive surface to gain tractio.

You can see in the overhead shot the gain in traction Seb achieved off track and by taking the wide line.

I don't think that there is a conspiracy against Verstappen, however Herbert's interview was IMHO inappropriate, he is an official of a sporting federation and IMHO he shouldn't pass judgment on the people that he is tasked to supervise. IMHO he should have explained the basis of the penalties handed out to Max and that's it.
