6/10 - 1 = 5/10
F1 needs to shake habit to race on this kind of track. Its topography is not suited for GP racing (IMHO).

8/10 here. Could have been a full 9/10 if not for the late shunt between Perez and Sainz. I mean, how could the race have been much better?

Not at all pleased to see all the damned carve-ups going on with special emphasis on Piastri. He seems the worst offender of this loathsome tactic. I just can't imagine the likes of Clark, Gurney, Surtees, Stewart, Hill, et al engaging in this dangerous and reprehensible conduct.

Not familiar with that term. Can you elaborate a bit?

5 points. In all these years i just fail to feel any love for this track. (is it a track??) It's all 90° corners and a 2,2km flat out part.

Zig-zagging to defend, I'm assuming. And I agree.

Race, 7/10. Good stuff.

8.5. Best race of the season. Pass for lead. Great fight for the finish. The image of both Piastri and Leclerc tail out on lap 42 is classic. Dramatic last lap crash. Not a classic race, but a fight for podium for five cars and a fight for lead that went on for dozens of laps.

Can’t really be thrilled for a race where the winning point is on how fast/slow you make the out lap after changing the tyres. I don’t take anything from Piastri who himself decided to went full throttle after the pit stop for taking a well deserved win. On the other hand f1, despite living a great season with many different winners, has become too much on the tyre management detail. i gave it a 6 because the race was after all still enjoyable

9. Passing galore (including one for the lead). Late race drama (i'd love to be a fly on the wall in the stewards room on the Perez/Sainz discussion).
Unusual winner. Multiple laps of 2 drivers trying their hardest to overtake/defend. Rookies racing well and scoring points. And a Lance Stroll retirement! This race had everything (except a surprize result). Almost perfect (or am I being too critical?). Should it be a 10 instead?

I agree with what you said my friend, I gave it a 9 instead of an 8.5 though ;)

Yea, wasn't quite sure it was a 9. If Leclerc and Norris had passed and repassed a couple of times, might have given it a 9. But, didn't think a single pass was worth a 9. That is why I gave it an 8.5.

8 for me. Great Piastri and Leclerc duel. Major crash at the end is a highlight for me. Brought down slightly by the first third of the race being more ho hum and major title contenders off the front. I like Baku, it usually delivers.
