Well, that was a great race, wasn't it?! On track battles were few, but unexpected winner through strategy, some overtakes. I think it's worth a good 7.

7.

McLaren shot themselves in the foot with the extra pit stop. Not the first time they've let track position go in favour of new tyres that don't provide enough pace. But nice to see a different result in any case.

A few (DRS) passes elsewhere. Seen far worse at Monza in recent times.

5/10
I was missing straight fight between Norris and Verstappen. It could had been interesting. I do however congratulate Leclerc for his win. It was sweet. He confirmed for us that he is faster than Sainz, who in his owns standing is supperior to his teammate in a few other areas. Self destruction of RB is more than just remarkable.

Quite remarkable for Ferrari to win a race at Monza down to strategy more than race pace. (Sainz and Leclerc 9th and 10th fastest race lap time)

Truthfully McLaren undoubtedly cost themselves a race win by letting their drivers talk them out of a one stopper. (Both drivers felt thir tyres were not up to it). Ferrari rolled the dice and showed the one stop was dramatically quicker and won the race on that basis. McLaren should have won but were out strategised by Ferrari as were others.

Made the race interesting. Not the best race in the season, but we have seen a dramatic turnaround in the WCC with RBs margin now in single figures, yet RB didnt suffer too much in the WDC chances, no doubt thanks to or certainly assisted by Piastri's reluctance to play the team game. I suspect McLaren will have an interesting debrief from a strategy and Team Papaya team preferences going forward.

I cant see the WCC going to RB this year..... but another couple of good team scores from Ferrari will put them in the game. They are now only 30 points behind McLaren.

A 7 for me. Was going to be a 6, but a Ferrari win at Monza stirs the loins a bit.

I didn't vote as I only saw a short highlights programme, I would have given it a 7 based on what I did see though.

It was one of the best races of this season so far. Glad to see Leclerc win Ferrari's home race. It was a superb effort by him to beat both McLaren drivers who clearly have the best car at the moment.

Kind have to give this an 8. There was actually a pass for lead and then a race won by a clever strategy call by Ferrari (when was the last time we had a clever strategy from Ferrari).

It was great! Still mulling over what score to give it, but it definately had alot of what I look for in a race.

Edit: I settled on 8

That's the unbelievable thing for me. Usually the strategist throws away a good result :sly:

Must be one of those fabled "Monza specials" Ferrari tends to bring out for the home races :D

7/10 here.

Quite enjoyed and indeed, impressed with Ferraris gamble to keep LeClerc out there on old tyres. Paid off handsomely.
