If I want a racing movie, I'll go watch Rush, Le Mans or Grand Prix. Is there any sports genre that has produced more garbage movies than racing?
No, probably not, and I would include at least two of those you mentioned in the lot.

However, I can imagine that while it might have some great shots of an F2 car, it'll probably be overlaid with godawful music the entire time.
You realize they used F2 cars for alot of the shots in Grand Prix, right?

I mean, within the racing genre, they're the among the best we've got, even though both Rush and Grand Prix are incredibly cheesy at times. If anything it goes to show exactly how dog shit the whole genre is.

Struggle to think of any properly good sports movie in general, there's Moneyball, Bull Durham and a few more, but other than that, most just plain suck.

Chariots of Fire is still my personal favourite, and only sports movie I'd probably have in my Top 50 movie list.

I know I'm getting old but I have little inclination to watch this movie. The trailer was incredibly uninspiring and just felt like Hollywood rather than F1.

Any Given Sunday is worth a watch. 'Bout American Football, which I have zero interest in, but it was still engaging and enjoyable, with interesting characters acting like real-life people. Just like movies should be.

This I saw elsewhere and although not F1 is a bit about Hollywood and motor racing..... https://www.instagram.com/reel/C9Nuvd-u ... BuaA%3D%3D
